Power surges, transients and other bad stuff.

Hello all! New user, first time poster. I have been recording live music for 20+ years generally in the capacity of a musician in a band, via analog four track or more recently the stand-alone digital units, specifically a Fostex VF160. I have been recorded in a professional recording studio several times, so although I am not a "newbie" per se, this activity is always a learning experience.

100ft run or more, 48 v power supply location

Another first for me here.

I have 100 ft run to the piano. Using Mojave MA100's SP for the first time. They come with its own PS. The micpre's have 48v too. Do I use one or the other or both in a long run or longer runs? Do you ever need to use both to ramp anything up lada lada lada?

Sony PCM-M10 phantom power question .

Hi all, first question here ! Nice to find this place ...
I have a pair of CA-14 mics, 1 card, 1 omni mics to go with my Sony PCM-M10 .
Im wondering if the built in phantom power is enough for either pair of mics for around 2 hours .?
A short test sounded great with the omnis . I plan on recording a guitar player only at a local theater .

Digitech Whammy Pedal won't power on

Hey i just tried to use my 2 yr old whammy pedal which i purchased new, and i see no lights, and it will not transmit sound. This pedal only has a couple hours on it, and has been kept in my house, near all my other pedals which work. The only unusual thing is i left it down at my studio for a couple weeks along w/ a couple stomp boxes.

Help with using a powered mixer with a power amp

I have a Behringer PMP2000 powered mixer with 12" speakers (B212XL) and a Behringer EP 4000 Europower power amp with 15" speakers (B215XL). I want to use the powered mixer/12s for monitors and the power amp/15s for mains. I think this is possible but I'm not sure what cables I'll need and how exactly to hook it up.

Power Stereo Amplifier

Hey, I'm currently using two different types of speakers as my temp monitors. One is a non-powered PA speaker and the other is my Ampeg 4x10 bass cab while going through a Berhinger Xenyx 1202. I'm using my bass head for now as my amp but I can only get one channel into the input so I can only get mono output or the left side out of both of my speakers.
