Quantizing Drums W Pro Tools

I just purchased the digi002 mixer and pro tools LE 6.9.My band went into the studio and the engineer was using a quantizer to line up the drums.I have a quantizer on pro tools but cant figure out how to get it to work with the drum tracks...If anybody would take the time to thouroghly run me through the steps on how to do it or any advice for that matter I would greatly appreciate it.

Anyone use Beat Quantizer by Zero-X ?

Hey All,

Got a tip on this for quantizing audio drum tracks (in apps other than PT, I use Sonar). It's capable of quantizing multiple tracks simultaneously (your mileage may vary), supposed to be comparable to Beat Detective for tightening up drum tracks. I just downloaded the demo, haven't messed with it yet. Looking for feedback from actual users. Anyone wanting a peek, go to:

Why does the Swing/Quantize on an MPC sound better than. .

Why does the Swing/Quantize on an MPC sound better than the swing in Cubase SX? Even at full swing in Cubase drums sound mechanically programmed. The MPC and other units like the SP1200 seem to have more of a rhythmic feel to the swing/quantizing. I would think this would function similarly across the board. Am I wrong?

Question for those who quantize Audio Drum Tracks

Recently I've been trying a new method of getting that all important drum sound. I've been quantizing all my individual drum hits and replacing them with samples.

I really like this method becuase it gets everything sounding nice and tight, and it seems easier to get those tom fills sounding nice and even.

Quantizing 101...

I'm new to the forum and find this an awesome resource. It's truly amazing!

On to my question...

I do all my recording into Sonar 3 on my PC using two Delta 1010's. I have a Mackie 24-8 console and JBL monitors.

After reading posts on thick guitar sounds, I am interested in attempting quantizing. Can anyone provide some instruction in this area?
