Recording a Yamaha C3E Grand Piano
Forums
My audio interface is Sound Devices Mix Pre 6 and it records straight to SD. I want to record my Yamaha C3E grand piano in a way that I won't ever need to go to a studio. I currently use Zoom H2n. I want to record 4-8 hours per day. Solo, duets, four hands etc. I have a list of microphones in matched pairs (many of them are stereo too). Which one will give me super professional results?

Issues with recording my piano
Forums
I'm a guitar player and recently got into piano. I got a Yamaha P-45 and, since I record instrumental tracks with guitar and bass, I tried to record my piano, but I ran into some issues. First I tried connecting my piano to my guitar amp which with my guitar cable and was able to record it (obviously the sound wasn't great as it's a guitar amp and not meant for any other instruments).

Recording grand piano live with wirless mics in Carnegie hall
Forums
Currently I am using an MXL v63m mic to record piano concerts which requires phantom power and then different connectors to my canon HF20 camera. Not much experience on micing and this is for my wife who is a classical pianist that will perform in Carnegie hall in Oct.
Recorder suggestion on Classical Piano Recording? AT2020USB vs H4n vs RODE NT4.

I need your opinion. Various studios here record classical grand piano using 6 dpa mics inside the piano through mls eq, Gordon, preamps and Apogeead. However the sound is unearthly. I,have used 2 oktavas from 1 feet distance from the end of the grand via RMEbabyface and I have achieved much fuller lifelike sound. Your opinions?

Recording a TOY piano...seriously
Forums
I've read many threads about best practices when recording grand and upright pianos but my client next week is a musical cast which involves a toy piano on some songs. Ya know, the kind you buy a kid to dink around on? I didn't see anything in here specific to TOY pianos and wanted to ask if anyone had some experience with it.
