I am in the dilemma of upgrading from Pro Tools 7.4HD to 10HD. We currently have 2 rooms running 7.4 with HD2 accel on windows xp machines with the legacy 192's and sync I/O's. I would like to upgrade to 10HD with our existing hardware running on osx Lion systems.

I'm having some tests done to our server now. There will be some slowdowns for a few hours while this is happening (starting 12:40 AM PST) . I am also going to add extra RAM so it should improve performance.

i am wondering whether there are any windows based motherboards that support dual cpus? similar to that of the mac pros.

To my surprise Avid has already release Pro Tools 10; Wow! Has anyone using Pro Tools made the upgrade yet? If so please let me know how it’s working out. I thought I at least had another month or so to work in 9 seems like just yesterday I upgraded form 8; not that I’m complaining.

Hey all, I'm looking to replace my 16 channel mixer in my home studio. Just looking to bounce some ideas off of you guys and see if there might be even better options. My current board is starting to have some issues and I have every in utalized. Currently I'm looking at 3 different board in the price range I'd like to stick around ($600 to $800 but could push up if I needed).

I've been loading my EastWest Gold XP Pro Symphonic Orchestra onto a new Windows 7 laptop. I'm finally moving off of my trusty XP desktop. Anyone have any recommendations? Should I take this opportunity (and spend $99) to upgrade to NI's newest "Play" platform?
