Looking for a ~$150 (around or less) cond. mic as an upgrade

Forums

Hi everyone! I'm looking to buy a new condenser mic as an upgrade to my current system. I'm currently using a MXL 990 condensor mic with a PreSonus Firebox preamp. The mic will be mainly used on me with an emphasis in recording vocals in a small home studio (aka budget studio).

Upgrade from a Mackie Onyx 1640

I have a Mackie Onyx 1640 and I want to upgrade:more channels, something less sterile sounding, I want to record at least at 92/24 with no less than 16 tracking simultaneously, and must have firewire or USB. Price range $3000-$3500 new.

I was looking at two MOTU HD192, would that be a good choice? Any and all help would be GREATLY appreciated!

need help making recording upgrade choices

Hi, I'm looking to upgrade the home recordings I do on my computer. I've been doing recordings for years (I'm a poor college student now) by just recording my voice/instruments on a mic straight into the computer. As you can imagine, the quality is not great. Now that I've realized I'm serious about recordings, I need to have a better setup.

Tascam CD-RW 700 or upgrade?

I've searched the Forum and can't find anything about this specific topic...there might be info I missed about the follow-up questions. Sorry if this is a double post.
