I swear up and down that SEKD was making a 8 channel in, 8 channel out
AES/EBU card (I thought I saw something in EM or Mix recently), but I
cannot find it from any manufacturer. 2 AES i/o channel is common,
but with the need for 24 channels of simultaneous inputs on three PCI
slots, it's obviously impractical. Anybody know if there is a card
like this anywhere, or any solutions?

Not really quite what you are asking for, but MOTU's 308 interface has 8 AES I/O and you could hang three of them off of one PCI-324 card. However, don't know if your application would see them.

Tascam doesnt make a PCI AES interface..they make a TDIF interface called the PCI822...I think so far the best bet is the 308 from MOTU!! Otherwise I dont recall ever seeing a specific AES card!! Hmmm, wondering if there is a market for just such a thing!! Hmmmm...have to pitch that one at work and see what they say!! lol

Merging Technologies is making a PCI-card called mykerinos in any flavours - adat, AES/EBU, madi, etc.
