    Hi,

    I have a G4 733 and i wanted some opinions/suggestions on what I should do with it.

Should I sell it or use it as a server to store my audio files as a backup?

also, what would I have to do to transfer the files from the G4 to the G5?

    Thanks,
    csharp35

I would get it out of the studio as it will seem very noisey compared to the G5. To transfer files you can 1) burn a cd or dvd if so equipped or 2) ethernet them together and drag and drop your files.

    use carbon copy cloner

you may still have to reauthorize your programs but as least you wont have to reinstall everything.

Isn't about time for mac to come out with better featured G5 for the price or with G6?
