Have this AKG D95S mic but can't find much more about it than that it's a hypercard. dynamic.
and that the 'S' in its name indicates that is has a switch. Seems to be a vocal mic.

Who knows more, what kind of other uses could this mic have ? Speaker-miking perhaps ?

Well, Peter, all I can tell you is the mic appears to never have been marketed in the US, because the only product sheets I can find are auf Deutsche, und Ich kann eine wenig. It is a hypercardioid vocal mic with a switch. It's response is 70-18,000hz, and it appears to have a huge boost around 3,000hz. It's best uses are probably as a snare or cab mic, and might sound good on the right singer through a very good preamp. AKG suggested it for vocals, instruments, and home recording, which makes it pretty much a cheap dynamic stage mic. I can't date it, but 1990's would be my best guess. It has 300 ohm impedence, and is looking for an input impedence greater than or equal to 2,000 ohms, which makes it a pretty standard dynamic. Sorry I couldn't find more.-Richie (can you tell I'm a fan of old AKG dynamics?)

Thanks Richie ! Soon after posting my question
I found more info about it (indeed in German :)
    - they're probably the same scans as you found).

But the suggestions for snare etc are new. Like you said, seems a pretty unspectacular mic.

Likely it'll be the only AKG we'll have around for quite a while though - so we're almost obliged to just give it a try.

And no, it wasn't that hard to tell you're a fan of... :)
