Is the 192kHz upgrade worth it? I know its not that expensive but I am really not sold on the need for 192kHz. Thoughts?

It is worth it if you need or want that sampling rate. Keep in mind that 192K requires and chews up a lot of resoruces as far as computing, disk space.

Thanks AudioGraff, thats my thinking exactly, and I don't really need 192Khz, but I was should spend the 60USD just in case I want to play.

If you think you will need 192k in the near future or for some specific client, $60 sure seems more than resonable to have that capability even if it is nothing more than to brag about or advertise to future clients that you have Crane Song 192k capability.

I sure wish I had the HEDD to brag about...

Gaff's comment is still valid regardless of the price
if your curiosity is worth $400 ... then do
if you can wait ... then don't

if crane song never release a better upgrade deal then you may regret not
    doing

    :?
not much help am I ?

do it do it do it
then tell me how good it is

    brag brag brag

Well I have a rail of 4301's (DIP) which I don't need all of. And I wanted to buy their pre amp chip 1512. I am not partial to any package, although SMT is easier. DIP is fine too.

Get a Demo Board from THAT and start experimenting
obviously the app notes have lots of info

    I have some 1510 chips
but just haven't had a chance to try a new circuit
