Ok, from what I understand, this is just a utility to run simulations correct? Or do I need to tweak this for optimal performance? I use a firepod and I thought you control buffer sizes through the firepod driver? Am I doing something wrong? Reason I ask is from reading this thread:

So do any of the values I change in ASIO Multimedia Setup Utility effect what is going on in Cubase? I especially don't understand the number of buffers set to 5 and DMA. Anyone an expect and can clarify these things? :?

if you use the cubase ASIO driver (wich the configurations tool is for), than it matters. but in most cases you use the ASIO driver designed for your soundcard.

The ASIO utility is for when you want to use multiple sound cards from different manufacturers..at that point you can set which inputs and outputs and buffer sizes for each one...

Only problem being that latency is ridiculous and stability is worse.

Set the ASIO driver to the supplied one from the audio card you have and control all settings from the audio card itself. Usually within Cubase you can access the control panel for it within the Device Setup area.

    Opus :D
