Well, I just got an email notification that my copy of Cubase SX has shipped, and is due to arrive on Wednesday!!!! Amazing!!! I am pretty excited (I pre-ordered it right after it was announced), but am thinking that I need to build a new computer to run it... I am going to keep my Cubase 5.1 running on my current PIII 1GHz box, and then hooking the 2 systems together eventually using VST System Link. So is the current state of the ANUS computer still the same??? This is going to be tricky, since I have everything loaded on the PIII right now, including all my plug-ins (Waves is the hard one to switch...), VSTi's, etc. I am pretty sure that I will need Cubase/VST 5.2 to run the VST System Link, plus some form of hardware and cabling to hook the 2 together...I haven't really thought this through enough yet to figure out how I am going to do this... 1) I need to build a new box (ANUS II) 2) I need to get Cubase 5.2, plus the necessary hardware to get the VST System Link to run Otherwise... I will have to install Cubase SX on the old PIII 1GHz, and wait for the System Link to be implemented. Any comments...suggestions...good drugs???
