hey guys, im running an athlon 1800+ XP, windows XP sp2, delta 1010 with latest drivers, and cubase sx 2.0.0

when i try to do the sync tests on the asio multimedia setup, it always fails. no matter what i do changing buffers settings and all that jazz, nothing is making it work. is this normal?

Do you have the correct driver installed for your soundcard? In Nuendo, this is under "Devices/Device Setup/VST Multitrack". Select the M-Audio driver, and re-launch Cubase, and re-run the ASIO test...

Might be different for Nuendo, so this may not work.

yeah in cubase i ahve the right one selected and the tests dont seem to give an option of any of that... usually cubase will tell me the output latency is like 6389837493 ms then if i select it a few times it will finally start saying 6.32 ms for output latency

I had the same problem last year when I first switched to Cubase. I'll dig around this afternoon and see if I can remember what I did to fix it.

David will probably have the answer right away if he spots this though.

You'be be wise to also go and get the SX 2 updates from the Steinberg ftp site as well as poke around and even post on the user forums on http://www.cubase.net
