    Here are the tree Digital Recorders:
    1) Roland R-09HR Ver.3.0 WAVE/MP3 Recorder :: Specifications
    2) Product: DR-07MKII | TASCAM
    3)Digital Voice Recorder | ICD-SX712 | Sony USA

    It would be more helpful to give a suggestion with a reasoned explanation as to why it is useful.

    I recommend it because I wouldn't recommend the others. the 09hr is nice but the battey life on it is not as good as the m10. the m10 is very user friendly and even includes a 5 second pre-record feature, and a sleep function where if it is inactive for ten minutes, it will shutoff but can be woken up with one button press very quickly. The m10 can take microsdhc or sony's memory. it also has 4 gigs of built in memory. The only thing I wish it had was a feature to switch to mono recording but that can be done with a mono cable.

    Excellent. That is much more helpful to the OP than just listing a part number.
