hi, i was wondering if anyone had any mic recomendations or techniques for capturing low end vocals. i sing for a metalcore band and my usual mic setup is a 57 up close and a blue baby bottle a little further back, i mainly use the 57 but use the blue to take a bit of the edge off 57, but when i use this same setup for really low vocals (deathmetal type stuff) i lose a ton of definition and presence and lose it in the mix. any ideas?
  2. Nice to know there are some other metal heads on here..Yes I have an idea that has worked for me and my band in the past. Record how you are now and either change the settings on an external equlizer or change the settings once it is already recorded..

    Good luck
