  1. I can say for the price I really think that my Edirol MA-10D's are the best studio monitors ever since when I compair other monitors around the same price range like the M-Audio StudioPro 3 the specs for the StudioPro 3 aren't near as good as the MA-10D like example the biggest difference is the Freq response. The freq response for the MA-10D is from 45Hz to 35kHz -2db. The M-Audio StudioPro 3 is only is from 100hz to 20Khz +/- 3db. The MA-10D has digital inputs so you can use optic-fiber cables and coaxial connections too. The M-Audio StudioPro 3 you can't do that it only has analog inputs.

You seem awfully hung up on numbers. The last time I checked, you listen with your ears.

Yeah man numbers honestly really don't mean much. I'd actually be more inclined to take m-audios numbers to heart though considering it just plain seems more realistic than the Edirols claims of 45hz(i doubt). While numbers are important to an extent, the sound the monitor replicates is the most important thing. For example ADAMS audio s2.5's are rated at 35hz to 35khz, so from your point of view the edirols should be nearly just as good, when most of use know that probably 100 percent of the people who are familiar with studio equipment would pick the ADAM's over the Edirols(assuming price isn't a factor). If you like the Edirols then thats whats important, no need to justify your purchase.
  4. Now come on of cource those Adam speakers are going to sound better look at the price. Its more than 4 times expensive than my monitors. But as I said before for the price that my monitors cost nothin can beat my monitors.

    Dear troll,

What is the purpose of your post? Just to tell us that your monitors are great? So far, from the info that you've posted (in two different threads), it's been your eyes that are making that decision and not your ears.

If you are trying to convince others that "your" monitors are great, don't just give us data that anyone can read from a spec sheet. Give us real world comparisons.

Listen to something through them. Listen to that same something through different monitors. Listen to that same something through a third set of monitors. Compare and contrast them. Give us your reactions. Let us know what you HEAR...not see.

You brag about the frequency response going down to 45Hz. Do the speakers have a tight or boomy bottom end. How about the highs. Are they crisp, harsh, smooth?

Since I've never really heard a pair of hundred dollar monitors I'll give you that, but the only thing it seems you're comparing is numbers, which isn't as important as sound, that was my whole point of comparing the edirols to adams, that if you soley compared numbers then the edirols should be right up there. But you didn't seem to get that, anyway glad your happy with you purchase.
  7. I would have to say that the bass is pretty tight and a little boomy and the highs are smooth and crisp. Normaly you would think that these monitors would have lots of high mids and low mids since its small but actualy its well balanced I am pretty impressed. It really sounds like a monitor that is twice the size. For the price I never heard any other monitors sound this great and precise and clean.

Vanillaice, what can I say? You're beautiful, man! You're like the terminator in your dogged persistence regarding the excellence of your monitors. Wow!

LOL, not even 4 inch drivers, "pretty tight AND a little boomy".
  10. Actualy I take that back these monitors do have punchy bass and very little boomy sound and very smooth and crisp highs. Mids are really clean too. For the price nothin can beat them. 8)
  11. When I turn the volume up on these monitors I can feel the deep 45hz bass. I am very supprised that for the size it can go down to 45hz. But of cource its not going to have huge amount of bass like a sub since its only a 3-5/8" woofers. The tweeters are 2in and they go up to 35kHz. IMPRESSIVE!!!
