Is DVD-RAM OK for burning Red Book CDs?

Just curious what kind of results people are getting from using newer DVD burners to burn Red Book CDs.

Where I'm coming from is: the system I'm putting together will definitely have a DVD burner for archiving purposes. Do I still need to add a low-jitter CD burner like Plextor or Yamaha or will the newer DVD-RAM burners do this task just fine?

My Pioneer DVR A04 works great for me burning CD's in Wavelab...haven't had a problem yet..you might want to burn them at a slower speed to make sure it's done right but otherwise they're A OK by my standards!
