kinda new at this, looking for recommendations

  1. So I just recently got myself a Korg padKONTROL and I'm looking to jump headfirst into using it with a DAW to experiment and make music. I virtually have no experience with any DAW aside from a very small bit with Ableton Live 8, which truthfully I'm not a fan of. I was curious if anyone could point me in another direction.

I'm looking for a DAW that will allow me to do things I think are kinda basic; record & loop, compose multiple tracks, use soft synths and drum kits that can be customized, etc. If this explains most DAWs, then the DAW I'd be interested in is something that is best for beginners. I'm also interested in finding a wide variety of drum samples to use so I'm curious where the best place is to obtain those as well.

Feel free to ask any questions if the above is too vague.
    Thanks.
