FIRST OF ALL I WANT TO THANK EVERYONE THAT HAS SUBMITTED POTENTIAL SOLUTIONS TO MY PROBLEM. BUT THERE IS SOME GOOD NEWS. I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO ISOLATE THE AREA OF THE PROBLEM. I USE THE PLATINUM WAVES EFFECTS.
NOW WHEN THESE EFFECTS ARE NOT INSTALLED I HAVE NO LATENCY, BUT WHEN I LOAD THEM ON THE SYSTEM FOR PROTOOLS THE LATENCY RETURNS. AS THIS IS THE ONLY EFFECTS PACKAGE I USE AND HAVE USED FOR 7 MONTHS ON THIS SYSTEM WITHOUT A PROBLEM. I AM TOTALLY CONFUSED AT WHAT HAS CHANGED.
HOPEFULLY BY NARROWING IT DOWN THIS MIGHT SHOW ONE OF YOU GENTLEMEN OR LADIES WHERE THE PROBLEM LAYS. THANKS AGAIN FOR ALL YOUR SUGGESTIONS, I AM SURE WE CAN KNOCK IT OUT AT SOME POINT.
BY THE WAY IS THE LOW LATENCY MONITOR SUPPOSE TO BE CHECKED AS A NORMAL PART OF THE PROTOOLS SYSTEM OPERATION?

  2. Please stop yelling....

    Ok... calm?

What version of Pro Tools are you using?
The older versions didnt have plugin latency compensation, so try upgrading to the latest version.

Also check that you have low latency record enabled.
