Lexicon MPX-550 vs. Kurzweil Rumour

    lookin 2 go out the box for reverb. We do hip-hop here and wanna conserve on cpu. PT LE 6.4 Digi 002 on G4 dp 1.25

    so i look @ these 2 items right now, read alot about them. just wanna kno from users if any their 2.5 cents on what the think of either.

    which is better soundin, better dealin w/ latency, best realism, etc....

    I have not comapred the two. The rumour about the Rumour is that it has good converters and excellent erffects. I use a TC Electronic M2000, which I prefer over the Lexicon unit you mentioned. The M2000 appears to be much more user freiendly than the Rumour, and has more settings, tweaks, etc.

    I have both a Lexicon MPX 500 with the upgrade chip and a Rumour. IMHO the Rumour is a better reverb. Great converters, wonderful verbs.

    I llooked at the TC Electronic m200. It's a nice unit, but in my opinion the Rumour is a better verb, which just goes to show you that it really is a matter of taste.
