I think im going to save up to get some of the fabfilter and voxengo plugs. They seem to be pretty nice. Im about to demo a few and see what i like.

I think you will like the Fabfilter Pro bundle. Great set of plugins to start with.

I have a few plugins from blue cat. I do like some of them. I really like the Sonalksis plugs. A little expensive but I might be able to swing the money for the studio 1 bundle in a few weeks. Anyone have experience with those?

Offcenter2005, You stated that you are looking for 64-bit alternative to Waves. I do know that new Waves version 9 is 64-bit. Waves are having a sale on there version 9 plugins, you should check them out Audio Plugins for Mixing, Mastering & Recording | Waves.

I have just seen that they have been released. I am excited about this because i really like the ren plugs. I think Im going to have to sort a few things out to get the full mercury bundle. If i cant i might go for the ssl 4000 bundle at least. Im about to demo these since they are 64 bit now. Any suggestions on these? Thanks for the reply.

If you have the finances to get the new mercury bundle then go for it, but if you do not then I would suggest getting the ask 4000 bundle. Also Waves has the Studio Classics Bundle, which has the sll, api, and the v-series all in one bundle. I believe it is only a couple hundreddollars more and it would be worth it. You would have differentflavors of each eq and compressor

Thanks for the input. The mercury bundle is everything except the ssl plugs right? There are a few bundles from waves and it is a little confusing as to what plugins are in what bundle. It would be great to add all the waves plugins to my mixing tools. I have just purchased the fabfilter and voxengo plugs and they are really nice. The fabfilter eqs and compressors are really trasparent and i like that for some stuff but i would also like some plugs that adds a little more color to the mix.

With the Waves Mercury Bundle you get every plugin that Waves makes. If you were to purchasethe Waves update plan, then you would get every plugin they come out with in the future.

Fabfilter - no question. But also have a look at Wavearts - they are superior.
