rather than search all the posts here to find about an intuitive website or book about mastering...I thought I would just ask for recommendations?

I am just starting to look in to mastering...what is the best literature to assist me in the process?

I believe that Mr. Bob Katz book would be a great asset. You can order one directly at: (Dead Link Removed) .

Bob Katz's book would also be my first choice.

If you want extra reading add
The Mastering Engineer's Handbook by Bobby Owsinski

Bobby taught me quite a few things during my "analog days"

Why take the time to read a book just do like everyone else does get a Finalizer, strap it across your final two track mix select a preset that sound similar to what you are doing and "master it" Its all the DIY rage.

    Just kidding! <GRIN>

Lots of good information on Bob Katz's site as well and here and here

and of course on this fourm.

Also recommended is both Bob's books on Mastering.

Definately order a copy of "Mastering Audio", but in the meantime also take a look at this neat article that Mr. Katz wrote for TC Electronic.
