Check Out the Media section. http://recording.org/media/

Below is a screen shot of the icon to where your media is stored. Without going on, do yourselves a favour and check it all out. (See the camera icon in the reply box)

It connects all our pictures and videos better. The tag system is awesome, be sure to learn about that. Once you save your media (youtube/vimeo/image, you can add tags them. We can comments, rate and discuss all media there or on the forums.. The media section connects all our media to the forum which helps us all share and lean more about audio.

Without going on, try it and then get back with questions here.

Note, you need to be a "Active Member" to have permissions to use this. Newly registered members with 2 or less posts are not considered active. Its setup like that because after a few posts, we either know you are a real person or not.

One thing I've noticed - and his may be a browser thing happening with just with FF, is that when viewing vids from the video section, the scroll bar in the videos have disappeared... It's not a deal killer or anything, but it is nice to sometimes be able to go to a section of the video that someone directs you towards, like when someone says "check out the section starting at 2:12.." Without the scroll bar, that's difficult.

    FWIW

    @DonnyThompson

    Well done! http://recording.org/threads/jack-joseph-puig-on-mixing.58258/
    NOTE:
You don't have to copy the link from where you added it, Donny. You simply use the icon in a post and it will do it for you, as well as all your other images or media. Doing it that way will also "include" media comments, ratings and valuable info about the media.

NOTE: The way you added it to that posts, bypassed the ability to track it and use the tagging system.
I changed it for you and also added tags. Which anyone can can do if its included in the permissions of the Album or members usergroup set by the site admin, which is you, the owner of the Album.

Tags make this system amazing. A tags will group it into the cloud instantly.

Also, its good members rate and even comment on these videos, which we will begin to see how it engages us.

    Media Update: http://recording.org/media/

If you see a media link in the forums, or visit ad use the Media section, please rate any video you watch.

    Why Rate a video?

You are doing a valuable service rating them because it appears google is rating our media section as one of the best resources right now. I bought this software so it would enable us to link youtube videos into our forums in a hybrid way where we will be able to have recording org conversations around them, here, not there! It would be awesome if we used it to its better potential.

    Tag Media
Please take the time to see how the tagging works and how it fits into your user experience here. Tagging content is like adding an extra link for you and others to find media. Using media with content improves how were learn and share information better.

As an example of what the Media rating system does for recording.org and our love for Royer mics... on google. This OP now ranks top 10 .
