    Hi all,

    I have
    Pentium IV 2,4Ghz
    Win 2000 pro
    1 Gb ram
    200Gb disk

    RME Multiface

    Samson resolv active monitors+sub
    Behringer ADA8000 8channel pre amp w adat
    BEhringer headphone Amp
    Behringer minimixer (monitoring only)
    Audix Drum mics (D1,D2,D4,D6, mt1290hc)

    Neumann TLM193
    2xT-Bone sc450

improve pre amps, i think of a mixer like ALLEN&HEATH WZ16:2³ (for recording drums)
instead of a seperate PRE AMP (tl audio, rme octamic)

    it gives more w EQing,...
but what about the quality of pre amps ?
also does recording 24bit have any inflence? will MULTIFACE (rme) convert analog->24b well through a mixer?

The AH pres will just as good / bad (depending on how you want to look at it) as the rme octamic pres. The TLA pres are probably a bit better than the rest you mentioned.
