    Hello Everyone,
I have been trying to find out how to make backing vox sound as if they were sorrounding me. I hear it in alot of hip hop tracks and i would like to do the same to pop, r&b and gospel songs. My question is how can i make the backing vox seem as if the are coming literally out of the speakers and sitting in front of my face. Like as if the sound was in 3D.

Thank you ever so much for your help.

Try doubling them and pan hard right/left.

Ok so here is a sample of how I want my vox to sound. If you click on the song Birthrite and FF to 1:12 and listen to 1:40. This is the sound I would like to mimic.

Thanks SoundClick artist: Triple N - Lyrical emcees trying to eat in this rap game

That sounds like a doubler or possibly some vocoder mixed in. Search around for some free plugs and give em a shot. It doesn't sound like an actual recorded double to me. It seems processed by some plug.
