New dual-core Powermacs!!!

    That's all pretty badass until you notice there's no PCI slot, just PCI express. Ooops, fux0red.

    so we'll go firewire all the way with the next mac- acoiuple rosetta 800's with firewire cards would be about right :D

    Digidesign will need a card exchange process at some stage soon.

    For me,
    I guess it sets mw up for a purchase of what was the last of the current group of Macs.
    Perhaps a dual 2.3

    Then sit tight and wait for whatever changes will come.
    They must be some deep changes on the Apple / Digidesign front soon.

    ... these dual core and quad core ideas may be what is in store for the INTEL Macs ... we may see the first units mid next year.
    Base machines may be Dual Processor DUAL CORE 4.0 Ghz ... plus. !!

    That must put intense pressure on the whole need for TDM. Perhaps my current HD DSP based system will be my last and native and true multi channel I/O will be a reality.
    yeah I know ... you Nuendo boys have I/O
    I'm talking about the native PT crew here.

    to that the Intel Mac and possible OS changes may bring Mac and PC closer together.
