New MAC PRO 2009

    Not surprising to me, these machines a beasts. It's just weird to me that they waited so long to update them.

    It's been a while.

    Waited so long? THey released machines in 2008....
    Now early 2009..... Is that too long?

    The processors up till then were still the old Xeon from
    07 I believe. They skipped a few generations up to now, which is Nehalem based Xeon.

    Maybe I'm wrong...?

    Yes, Nehalem inside. These are the server versions of the Core i7, the current desktop king. I don't know how well it scales, but it should be good. This is one killer machine.

    So.....did they finally fix the audio issue they were having with the Mac Pros? I'm just curious. I would love one of these machines but about a month ago I was reading an article from apple news about issues when even playing back audio. There were heat issues and the cpu ramping up to 75% usage. A software bug, I'm sure but a weird one. I'm assuming they've long since patched this?
