Newbe Recorder

    Hello master of sounds. I have just been given access to a recording studio (sorry not sure what equement it has). Right to the point a band i kno what to record there frist album and since i have access they have asked me to record them and i need help. I am looking for a step by step guide to recording it for them. Sorry about grammer,spelling and anything i have ask that annoys you.

    I would go out and get some books and start reading and experimenting fast. The raw basics of audio recording can take years of practical experience for someone to become somewhat competent.

    This might not be what you want to hear. I think your best bet would be to hire a sound engineer, and you sit in with him/her and watch. This way you learn and your friends get a better recording than if you done it for them. Depending on the sound engineer of course !
