Hey folks, not a complete noob here, but I am a beginner.

    Here's my set-up:

    G4 ibook 1.2ghz process.
    1.25 ghz Ram
    Logic Express 7 (30-day trial)
    M-Audio Firewire 410

    Problem:
I use both headphone ports on the Firewire 410 but on the lower, secondary output, sound is only coming out of 1 channel/side. Not sure why this is happening, it appears all the settings are correct and the upper/primary port sounds fine.

Any ideas on what I could do?

Thanks in advance for any help. Appreciate it.

sounds like the headphone output is dodgy itself, do you have the 410 since a while?? was it ok before??, did you made changes in your settings of any kind before that happened??

The 410 is actually brand new. I never had the need to use the second output, so I really never tested it until now. I have a set of headphones where I can set the stereo or mono settings, when I change it to mono, I hear it through both sides, but on stereo it only plays through one. The track is a stereo track as well, so not sure why that's happening.

take the 410 back to your dealer, it really sounds that one chanel is not wired or soldered correctly on the second phones output...
