Sometimes when a program is opening I have some audio running (winamp etc) The sound will start to stutter.
Also my mouse will tend to stutter aswell.
So this is either a memory, CPU or HD performance issue?
Ive Ran Hot CPU tester and it says i have 0 Problems.
Oh yeah this is NOT a virii prob.

Ive never had a problem like this before.
It would be hard for me track down the problem aswell...

WinXP All updates up to SP1.
    AMD xp2000+ @ 1.7ghz
    512mb of PNY 2100ddr
Sound Blaster 512 live with KXproject drivers.
    Geforce4 4200 ti 64mb.
80 gig WD HD with 8mb cache.
20 gig MT HD with 2mb cache (system disc)
    All drivers up to date.
    System fully tweaked.
    etc etc...

Try setting the Graphics Acceleration slider to minimum. That's what I had to do to a friend's PC to avoid glitching when moving windows around while audio is playing. The screen will update more slowly, but it may solve this problem. And who cares about screen update speed anyway? :D

As Ethan stated I would try using the hardware acceleration bar..drop it down one setting at a time to see if this is the case...

if so then there could be a couple of reasons why it's happening.

One..video drivers are conflicting with the audio application or audio card.

You may have an IRQ conflict possibly as well.

    Opus :D
