does somebody uses powercore and waves??
I use both. Why?
What kind of powercore???
I wonder how many waves fx powercore can handle
The Powercore can't handle any Waves plugins. They're a good combination because you can run the Powercore-specific plugins and free up more of your computer's processor so you can run more Waves plugins, but you can't run any Waves plugins on the Powercore.
I so a presentation when they said that you can run any effects....
So what do you do to run more waves???
buy a faster machine
More waves than what? What is your system now and how many plugs can you run and how many plugs would you like to run?
Perhaps you misunderstood the Powercore info you looked at...
I have amd 64 3200 socket 754
3 gigs of ram
2 Raptor 36.6 raid 0 system and samples
2 raptors 72. raid 0 music
Waves 5.0 diamond
I have about 14 -18 channels in nuendo.
I'd like to be able to add compression-eq on everychannel plus some other Effects like flanger doubler. some Ir1 reverbs.
I guess I can do the reverbs later.
yeah you couldn't use external plugins in you Powercore. You can only use the ones made for it.But you can use the the plugins in different host (like cubase,nuendo...) so you can manage to use the waves with you PC Cpu and using the plugins from the powercore using the powercore cpus and it doesn't stress you PC Cpu.
Like the waves.
Already paid for it.Why the TDM is only for protools???
TDM plugins will work with Logic or Digital Performer as well if you have TDM cards in your computer...
So what are you looking for? Why would you want to pay twice as much for TDM plugins?
This guy is nutz methinks :?
I just need more DSP power to run WAVES.
I hoped you can use powercores power to run them,,,
can I hook up another PC for fx processing with gignetwork
With your PC you should be able to add those "14-18ch of comps and eqs plus some other Effects like flanger doubler". Easily.
IR1's are very heavy, so you could get powercore for reverbs (it has pretty good ones).
that is what I think.
are you familiar with using DAW with midi controlleble ADM for live mixing
