I've got the fastest sounding old slow Neve. My API's are even faster sounding but technically slower. 16 bit/44.1 kHz is as good as 24-bit/96 kHz if you practice yoga. If your equipment weighs as much as a tank and requires a tank to transport it. Learning how to vomit all over again. Trying to fly utilizing barbells instead of wings. Lead poisoning, that's good for you. Alchemy because you don't have a digit to stand upon. Owning a remote truck instead of a house. " WILL WORK FOR FOOD " printed on your portable rack boxes. Knowing how to tweak every major multitrack analog recorder, never again. Building one's own console from scratch but never finding your itch. Wishing you had been born. Walking into the wrong designated bathroom. Being very efficient in your work and receiving a speeding ticket (from the other union guys).

    Never having any money...
