The Cubase forums are the best resource for this sort of question (http://forum.cubase.net/cgi-bin/cubase.net/Ultimate.cgi). Do a search on Hyper Threading. This subject has been covered extensively there.

I recently read on a forum that many of the Waves and NI plug-ins do not work with Hyperthreading enabled - or indeed with multiple processor support enabled.

Might be worth disabling these for starters.

Incidentally, in the same forum, there were many folk ranting and raving that the freeze and VSTi automation functions in SX2 have many problems which have yet to be addressed in the latest update.

    Hope you sort it.

This is pretty much a follow-up to Sonarfox's statement. There's some earlier posts about hyperthreading here. I think Opus & a few of the other Mods have discussed this and somehow the chips fell more towards NOT going that route or using it because of the lack of support (most programs can't use this technology).

Did you load SP2, here's a little article outlining problems with the update and AMD CPUs
