Does anyone knwo if it is possible in any way to use Protools plug-ins in other programs such as Sonar?

Not possible. PT uses RTAS plugins which are proprietary to PT. Won't work.

Ain't there some sort of converters? I think it's bad that I cannot use my soundcard and Sonar with the Protools plug-ins. I mean for an amateur with no big amount of money, it would be perfect to be able to use the plug-ins with my cheaper system...

There are wrappers that will convert VST plugs to RTAS, but not vice versa, at least not that I'm aware of.

Just curious, which plugs are you talking about? Usually when you buy 3rd party plugins you will get the RTAS, VST and Dx all in one package.

I'm talking about Amp Farm. It seems awesome, and I've would really like to try it. But it's rather expensive that I need to first buy Pro Tools and their hardware and then the plug-in when could just buy the plug-in.

Amp Farm is a TDM only plug, only runs on $10,000+ digi hardware.
