I was wondering if anybody knows anything about a rnae fmi 14 preamp. Curious if these are any good. Can't find much info on google and searching this site gives me nothing. TIA

what more do you want ?

based on the SSM2015 mic pre chip and with the usual Rane build and features ... 2 band EQ
    many output possibilities

a good all round work horse and suited to all audio apps including broadcast

may not bring a character to your recorded sounds but will be useful in a variety of situations

Yea I did know about the info on the rane website, but I was mostly looking to see if anyone had actually used this preamp to success, regarding sound quality.

the SSM2015 basically says it all

Rane does a good presentation of this chip and may be slightly better than the 001
It is a very typical broadcast sound

A few of the Rane mic-pres have this input and so does My DIY mic-pre KDMP
some people like them ... and some don't

that's about all I can say
