hello forum. i have the following problem, and although it's not related to recordings directly, you might be the best to help me...
in my car , i use speech recognition to control my pc. the speech understands me pretty well, but there is some noise, both from the cabin, and from my sound system...
so i was wandering, is there any kind of software i could use, to receive the input from my mic, analyze it, keep my voice, and then send it as input, to the pc ?? i realize this could add some delay to the mic, but it is ok, since i anyway wait, for the command to be done...
any info , or a place to look, is appreciated!!

What type of microphone are you using for this speech input and where is it positioned? Does the microphone plug directly into the microphone jack on the PC?

Can't you turn your sound system off when you are trying to give speech input to your PC?

yes, i turn of the sound when i speak to the pc ofc. but my main problem, is the noise comming from the windows, or some cabin noise... i use an almost directional mic, positioned 10-15 inches away from me. (on the steering wheel colum )

some extra info : the computer only listens to me, when i press a specific hotkey. so, i guess, that a software that uses buffer to achieve the noise cancellation, could only work when i press the hotkey, and after that, erase its buffer..

I suggest you try a headset microphone.
