I just got a G5 mac with Pro Tools and the Mbox. I do acoustic recordings alone. Guitar, Vocals, and a little acoustic percussion/shakers. So it's pretty simple. but I'm wondering where to go from here. can anyone recommend a good acoustic/vocal mic? I read the monitor post and I know I should get some soon as I'm using headphones. Is there anything else I'd want to look into for my simple recordings? Thanks!

    It depends on your budget.

Can you give us an idea of what that might be?

right now i could spend around a 1000 on a mic give or take. everything thing else would just be a in time as i have about 1000 extra each month. good point on the budget thanks

    Check out the Audio-Technica AT4060 ($1,099)
    or
AKG 414 around $500-1,000 depending on used/new and model.
