Recording Drums HELP

    Riley, thx for moving the post.

    Does the Mackie you speak of have inserts or direct outs on each input channel?

    Sorry, some of your post did not move...

    Yes, you can interface it (plug it into) a converter, preferably one with at least 8 line inputs that will convert the analog signal to digital.

    I primarily work with PC's, but I'm sure you can find a Mac unit that will do the trick.

    On Mackies you should be able to send a direct signal off of each channel into a unit that accepts line level signal by plugging the insert (1/4" Connector) half way in.

    Where you go from there is dependant on the converter that you have and the software you are using in the Mac.

    The CFX has inserts on each of the 16 mic channels.
