Hey guys, just wondering what your opinions are on these? Would I be better off trying to build my own contraption or buying one prebuilt?

Right now the situation is this: I record in my bedroom. Hardwood floors, pretty bare walls. It is VERY clear in the recordings, especially after adding compression. Right now I have nothing for the mic (cardioid) and it just picks up every bounce haha. I can still get a sound that is ok (the vocals are pretty processed) but that reverb is still making them sound a bit weird. If I can cut out the majority of the room reflections then I think I could get a pretty solid product. So what do you guys recommend? Thanks!
