    Hello ,

On February 8th, the 57th annual Grammy Awards will be presented in Los Angeles. We are very proud to find some long-time Sequoia users among the nominees.

Mastering engineers Tom Coyne and Aya Merrill from Sterling Sound, responsible for the work on Sam Smith's „In The Lonely Hour" as well as „1989“ by Taylor Swift and Beyoncé's selfnamed album.

Sam Smith and Taylor Swift are both nominated for Best Record & Song of the Year, Sam Smith is also nominated in 3 more categories.

Apart from Sterling Sound, we are very happy to see engineers Peter Hecker with „Strauss: Elektra“ and Helmut Hanusch and Klaus-Dieter Hesse with „Schönberg: Moses und Aron“ nominated for „Best Opera Recording". The Schönberg opera prior has been rewared with „Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik“, an award by a german society of journalists and critics.

Longtime clients of MAGIX, BIS Records, have the chance to be honoured twice as „Best Chamber Music/Small Ensemble Performance“ for their work on „Einmal mit Martinů: Cello Sonatas Nos. 1-3" and "Sing thee Nowell".

We are patiently awaiting the Grammy Awards and will be happy to congratulate the winners!

In this series of "Samplitude Academy - Using EQ" we will show you how to place your acoustic and electric guitars effectively in your mix.
