  1. I just wanted to get peoples opinions on what recording software is a good choice. I want to record metal and i want to be able to add effects. Plus, I don't really want to spend over $350. Thanks

So why not use the Tracktion software that came with it? That's perfectly capable of anything you want to do.

You could also check out Acoustica Mixcraft 4
It's really easy to use the user interface is similar to GarageBand and it's fairly cheap but also really good for the price

+1 Next best thing to "Garageband for windows". Garageband is pretty awesome, I must say.
