Shout out to Tama as they are supporting RO now. Looking through their hardware line-up called Iron Works, I see solid looking stands we might be interested in. I never seem to have enough stands, these look well made and well suited for tight spots.
If anyone gets a chance to use this stuff, please share your opinions. The tripod cast base straight stands caught my eye.
@dvdhawk have you used any of their stands?

No, I can't say that I have. They look nice and solid though. I hate lightweight/cheap mic stands, and if these are made as well as their drum hardware I'm sure they are quite substantial. I'll have to watch my distributors and see if they start carrying them.

A drummer I work with a lot owns a great little drum shop. I'll have to see if that's something he has access to. I like the looks of their tripods too, with the solid legs they weigh in at almost 12 pounds.

All my drum stands are Tama...I find they are heavy duty, very sturdy stands and are really high quality.

If this is anything to go by, these stands will be made tough.

Yep...it blows my mind when I see an expensive mic on a cheap mic stand.

Its a recipe for disaster....an accident just waiting to happen.

I acquaint it to putting cheap tyres on a Lamborghini.
