    Dear logic-users!

What freaks you out about logicAudio?

Except from latency, soundquality and crashes :D

Pan, I'm surprised you shut down the thread on audio cards for Logic! Yasu was looking for a sound card recommendation specifically for Logic. Spud chimed in and said he has had good luck with the MOTU product. Yes, he did get critical of Asio support in Logic. I then added that I have had good luck with the RME card and am quite happy with Logic. As a new user, I only asked that Spud elaborate on his "claim" that Asio is poorly (trying to avoid the S word) supported in Logic. If this topic is not of interest in the Logic forum, where is one to turn for this information. Perhaps other Logic users would pipe up and offer there successes with various soundcards and counter his claim that Asio is poorly supported. I myself have found latency to not be an issue, both due to the RME card and use of a digital mixer (DA7). Based on the number of posts in this forum, I would think we would want to encourage activity, not discourage it. I would really like to see more activity from Logic users on this forum, as this format, IMO is preferable to the logic users group email forum, of which I am also a member.

    Hey Garysjo!
Yes I can follow you, I thought twice about closing that topic, but I decided to do so, because this tread was lacking of real information.

-> we cannot give tips about additions or upgrades to equipment we don't know!
-> Yasu did not even specify, what system he uses and you already came up with tips for cards - without describing the system you are running yourself.
    This does not help anyone.

And yes we all want more traffic here, but it should contain *useful* information, not just bandwidth! (As seen in many threads on the LUG)

I for myself would be very interested in your track and plugin counts with your RME - do you use virtual instruments as well? I have an idea...

Tell other users, what you are running off your Sounblaster card in your old 386 - that might become a more interesting topic, than subjective tips for
    *a soundcard*.

    keep it coming

    Niko
