Universal Audio announced their next plugin - a Lexicon 224 reverb. The price is steep: $349. I love the sound of the old Lexicons, but I'm not producing anything right now that I think requires it. I'll demo it as soon as it comes out though.

It looks like UA has decided they have completed their line of "bread and butter" plugins and are now going for "boutique" plugins at twice the price. It would be nice to have the whole package, but it doesn't make any financial sense. Have to be pretty choosey.

Cool been missing the lexi sound in the box. Did you try the studer plug?

I bought the Studer and have used it on just about every track on my current project. Discussed here.

Ooh. That's sweet. I've been hoping for a Lexicon plugin. Don't know if I need it that bad though. I'd be happy with any good sounding Reverb. That plugin requires me to buy a new UAD-2. So that's a $1000 investment with the plugin right there.

oh but UAD2 offers some many more options ;) Dreaming of the day I can justify upgrading my UAD-1 card.
