    Whoa!

Well, I am pretty blown away right now!!! I got the Universal Audio UAD-1 DSP card with their Poweredplug-ins..Amazing!!! :) They give you a bunch of presets to get started with, and it is actually pretty logical to tweak once you get started...it just looks kinda intimidating at first!

The emulations of the LA-2A and 1176LN compressors are just awesome, sheesh...this is sooooo sweet!!!

There are several otherplug-insas well that I am anxious to try (EQ, Delay, multi-band compression, etc.)...I've got a new mix that hasn't been touched yet,and I plan on starting that one from scratch with a balance of the UA and Wavesplug-ins and will get a chance to compare some of them head-to-head.

I bought and installed this thing about a week ago or so, and have just had a chance to get into any detail with it this weekend on a mix I have been struggling with for a couple of weeks. Friggin' amazing!

The cool thing on top of all the great sounds you can get, is that the thing runs on its own DSP card, so there is *zero* drain on the CPU!!! Did you hear that??? *Zero*!!! :) ).

There is *absolutely* no doubt in mind that it is worth every single penny that I spent on it! There is no "buyers remorse" here...only elation and pure joy!!!

    Hehe...OK...I'll calm down now!

What software are you using it with? (It's still PC only?)

I am using Cubase VST/32 version 5.1 for the PC.

They say they will have the Mac version available first quarter 2002...
