    Ok,
Right now our DAW is running as followed:

    Processor
    *P4 2.4GHZ Processor
    *FSB 557mhz
    Motherboard
    *Socket 478 Intel ASUS Board
    *Upgradable to 3.6GHZ Processor
    *1.5GB DDR Ram installed
    *2 GB Ram upgradable
    *3 PCI Slots
    *1 AGP Slot
    Extras
    *Exaust
    *Firewire Card
    Outgear
    *Onyx 1220 w/ Firewire Card
    *Compression Mic
    *MBOX 2
*Triton LE, Yamaha SO8, and DGX8 Key.

    Thinking of upgrading to:
    Processor
    *Pentium D 3.0GHZ Processor
    *FSB 800mhz to 1066mhz
    Motherboard
    *Socket 775 Intel ASUS Board
*1 GB DDR2 Ram or keeping old Ram
    *Upgradable to 4GHZ Processor
    *3 PCI Slots
    *1 AGP Slot
    Extras
    *Exaust
    *Firewire Card
*Double Screen Video Card (GeForce 6200
    Outgear
    *Onyx 1220 w/ Firewire Card
    *Compression Mic
    *MBOX 2
*Triton LE, Yamaha SO8, and DGX8 Key.

Is this a good choice if I want to do alot of Audio Processing and use a hell of alot of plugins and do MIDI sequencing at the same time? I use a combination of ALL the Spectrasonics plugins, Guitar Rig, and sometimes I include both the Bosendorfer 290 and East West Quantum Leap Symphonic Orchestra Gold samples. As of now, the Onyx is taking a great deal of CPU power and I like the idea of recording in 88khz. Anyone think that this upgrade solution will be good?

    as a comparison, when I upgraded my 2.4, 400 FSB to a 3.06 533 FSB I realized a 12% bump in plugin count.

Max out your mother board as best you can.
