I'm about to buy a mac laptop.

Is it possible to use a Presonus firepod as the main audio interface with ProTools software? I realize I wont get the onbaord DSP (TDM) that protools hardware would provide, but could I still use the firepod as my main audio IO and use only RTAS plugins?

PT software will not boot, unless it detects Digidesign hardware.

I have a Firepod and tried using PT and so far it does not work. If you find a way to do it please let the Firepod users know how. I look forward to use them together.
