    if you had a choice on vocal gear what would you get , i want that crisp clean perfect studio sound what gear would help me achieve this sound

    You should give your question a bit more thought before asking it again. No one can answer it as it is. Theres no discription of what style you would going for...no idea what equipment you might already have...no theory about your personal skill level at attaining this sound even if you had the best gear known to man....

    So think about it and try to include some more information and I'm sure there are people who would love to help you out of your dilemma.

    a great singer, a great song, a pair or great ears, a great mic, a great pre, great conversion, a great daw
    and knowing what you are doing would get you there, roughly in that order

    i have a rode nt1000 mic goin into a troft atc-2 mic pre amp goin into a korg d16xd mixer and ive been recording vocals but its no where the way i want them to sounds i dont want my vocals to sound live i want them to blend in with the music kinda like how those rappers vocals are crisp and clean
