I HAVE BEEN MAKING RAP COMPOSITIONS FOR SOME TIME NOW AND DECIDED TO MAKE A SIMPLE HOME STUDIO. I AM KNEW TO RECORDING AND WAS INTERESTED IN RECORDING THE BEST QUALITY VOCALS POSSIBLE AT HOME . THE EQUIPMENT I CURRENTLY HAVE IS AN MXL V63M CONDENSER STUDIO MIC W/SHOCKMOUNT ,MIC STAND AND POP FILTER . MAGIX MUSIC MAKER SOFTWARE ON MY COMPUTER AND A TASCAM US-122
USB AUDIO/DIGITAL INTERFACE WITH MULTIPLE FEATURES THAT INCLUDE TWO PHANTOM-POWERED MIC INPUTS WITH INSERTS.
    WHAT AM I MISSING ?

The best sounding vocals possible starts with a great vocalist, great mic, great pre, and goes further down the line.

To get the best quality out of your personal gear start with thinking about mic placement and the room you will be singing in. Then move into gear upgrades. There is a forum in recording.org call The Vocal Booth. They'd be able to help you better as I'm just starting to scratch the surface.
