If you dont know anything legal, then hit the web. Read up on sampling and copyright laws. Find out what you can and can't use. Make sure that your beats are going to end up costing you or another artist tons of money in legal fees. If you can't figure it out, find a lawyer who works in music and pay him to explain it to you.

Once that's out of the way, you need to get your beats heard. Only one way to do that and that's by making music. Contact rappers, hip hop producers and artists and even studios. Find out if they are interested in auditioning/buying/using your beats. Try finding some artists that are just starting out that need beats or can't make up good ones. Work with them.

Place ads in the local music trade mag. Hit the web...create a site and advertise. If you want to make Making Beats your business, you need to advertise. If you're beats are good, tell people who use them to spread the word.
