I am having such a problem with my Windows media player only playing something once and then I have to reboot my computer it to play another song.
If I don't close it, I can keep it going to another song but if I close it, I have to reboot everytime.

This is driving me bonkers. Its been doing this a about a year and I'm fged up. Any help would be so appreciated.

    chris...

What version of MP are you using?

how many songs do you currently have in your media player library? Apparently there is indeed a finite amount that MP can handle without acting wizzly.

Is this happening with all files - wav, MP, Flac...?

Here's a troubleshooting article that might help...

    That Donny, I'll read that.

I don't have any songs in there. I use it to play wave tracks I finish. Every other PC I have , plays these as expected . The PC, something is weird with my refresh I think. Its like its not closing or something.

I thinks its the newest version.

I can't believe you found that page so fast, it lead me to a window fixit patch where it searched for the issues and found my player is corrupted. Its now rebuilding it. I hope it works now, thanks man!

I'm back to BS again. I'm going to delete this pig once and for all..

What are you using for a windows playback app? I have Quicktime for aiff with I hate. Mac crap that forces you to call back to apple is the plague. But it works for aiff.

    I'm looking at this:

I typed the phrase "media player only plays one song".... and found that link about the fourth choice down on the list.

I really don't use MP, although I never had the issue with it that you did. I'm using VLC for those rare occasions when I want to listen to MP3's.
